Professor Amparo Pamela Fabe is a Professor in Financial Terrorism and Transnational Organized Crime at the National Police College, Philippines, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Command. She handles specialized Counter-Terrorism Courses of the Philippine Marine Corps and the Philippine Coast Guard.
Her chapter on "The Financial Mosaic of Violence: The Dynamics and Patterns of Terrorism Financing of The Marawi Siege" is featured in Perspectives in Terrorism published by the UP College of Law in 2019. Her mid-term assessment of the Duterte Presidency is featured in a book entitled, The Disruptive Innovations of the Duterte Presidency which she co-authored with Joan Andrea Toledo. She co-authored with Dr. Scott Romaniuk (University of Alberta) and Dr. Christian Kaunert, Professor of Policing and Security at the University of South Wales, The Handbook on Global Terrorism Financing by Routledge (2020). Her research on state counter-terrorism policies was featured in the Palgrave Macmillan Global Handbook on Counter-Terrorism Policy (2017) and Palgrave Encyclopedia of Global Security Studies (2020). Her research on ISIS Terrorism Financing is featured in The Marawi Siege and Its Aftermath by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK, 2020.
Her specialized research on insurgent groups and counterterrorist financing were featured by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group) and by the Manchester University Press (2020). She is an expert on the United Nations Global Sanctions. She trained at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Counter-Terrorism. She is doing the Advanced Counter-terrorism Program at the Asser Institut. She finished Economics at the University of the Philippines, Diliman and the Executive Course in National Security at the National Defense College of the Philippines.
